Here's a very basic example of a traditional gospel hymn that has been around for a long time. Many local churches have hymn books that are mainly written for leading the congregation in songs. There's only a piano player and one guitar player in our church and when we are playing traditional gospel hymns we keep the melody and time for the whole group of people.
